HR Manager position with stable and growing company in Attleboro, MA.

Are you looking for a change in scenery?  Our current HR Manager is retiring.  We’re looking for a replacement with at least 5 years’ increasing experience (generalist model preferred), a bachelor’s degree focusing on HR or Business Management, or equivalent combination of experience and education.  If you’re an HR Manager or an HR Generalist ready to take that next step, you could be the person for us.

This exempt position reports to the President and is an integral part of the management team.  Someone with experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.  A transition is planned so the successful candidate can quickly learn our systems and become a part of our culture.  No need to do payroll since it’s handled by our Finance group.

We run our own tooling shop and make the die sets for the stampings we produce.

Duties include:

  • Keep current on, and provide advice related to HR practices, policies, and procedures, including updating the handbook.
  • Manage the recruitment process from job descriptions through interview and selection.
  • Onboard new hires.
  • Assist management in corrective counseling, from development of performance improvement plans through termination of employment.
  • Work with the Training Steering Committee including, organizing meetings; assigning coursework in our training database; assigning and tracking online training; and conducting training or working with others to conduct training as appropriate.
  • Administer benefits programs.
  • Maintain personnel and medical files.
  • Work with the Safety Committee.  Prepare OSHA 300 logs, and track DART & TCR rates.
  • Organize monthly all employee meetings with presentations by HR, Safety, Quality, Marketing, etc.
  • Report HR metrics during scheduled quarterly management review meetings.
  • And of course, other duties as required.
