What can you tell me about Larson Tool & Stamping?
Since our founding in 1920, Larson has grown to become a valued supplier of precision metal stampings and assemblies to hundreds of companies in the United States and abroad. What materials do you use in manufacturing?
We use all the basic metals, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass.
What is the maximum thickness of material you can stamp?
The answer to this question depends upon several factors, including the type of material and length of the cut. The best thing to do is give us a call, and we will respond based on your particular application.
How large a part can you handle?
The parts we manufacture vary greatly in size, from small electronic components to items as large as a 30-pound fire extinguisher canister.
Is there a minimum quantity for your production runs?
There is no set answer to this question, although you can use 5,000 pieces as a starting point. Larson is not in the short-run business; all of our work is custom and is run on permanent, dedicated tooling.
Do you have a catalog of standard products?
No, because everything we make is custom.
What is your standard lead time?
Generally speaking, tooling requires an 8-12 week lead time and parts production requires another 2–4 weeks. Basic jobs can come in under these ranges; complex jobs may require more time. Our ordering page offers further information about the options available to you.
In what formats can you receive parts specs and prints?
We are able to read the most popular CAD formats, including IGES, DXF, DWG, and PRT. If you have any questions, just give us a call.
Do you have a preventive maintenance program?
Because Larson is registered under ISO/TS 16949, you can be assured that we meet strict standards for preventive maintenance.
Are you a union shop?
No, we are a non-union shop.
How many shifts do you run?
We are completely flexible so that production schedules conform to workflows. We can add shifts throughout the operation or in a specified department to maintain our nearly 100% on-time delivery record.
What is your employee turnover rate?
We are fortunate to have an exceptionally loyal and cohesive workforce. The average tenure of our employees is 15–20 years, and the turnover rate is about 1% per year.
