We’re looking to add a person to our Shipping/Receiving Department.. We are a privately owned, contract metal stamping manufacturer located in Attleboro, MA since 1920. We are an essential business that manufactures small to medium sized metal stampings for the automotive, appliance, industrial appliance, safety and other markets. We’re looking for an experienced forklift operator and would prefer shipping/receiving experience. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
The successful candidate must be able to remain organized and keep up with assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet the following requirements:
Primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Load, unload, and move materials as needed to/from racks, trailers or storage locations
- Use Forklifts and other types of material handling equipment as needed
- Use computer to schedule carriers, print forms, labels, receive incoming materials, etc.
- Make up various containers to store and carry parts
- Load bulk parts into totes, boxes, or other containers for shipment.
- Operate automated shrink wrap machine, box stapler, band strapper, etc.
- Prepare items for shipping/receiving, including verifying count, weights, documentation, etc.
- Maintain proper documentation including labels, traceability cards, etc.
- Occasionally drive a towmotor to position trailers at our location.
- Perform inspection duties when needed
- Adhere to all work instruction requirements and safety practices and policies
- Complete training programs required by job training profile
Additional skills and abilities include:
- Must have a valid license in order to become forklift certified in MA
- Good driving skills and ability, with a strong Safety mind-set
- Good reading, writing, computer and communication skills
- Must be self-motivated, well organized, and able to problem-solve
- Able to work overtime as needed. Overtime may be after normal shift hours or on the weekend depending on production levels.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. We’re looking for someone with at least on year forklift experience. Warehouse or shipping/receiving experience is preferred.
